Artworks by James Buxton

Red Barn Gallery & Studio

I am classically trained as a sculptor with a strong emphasis on anatomy, materials, techniques, form and a healthy dose of Art history as a part of my training. I create sculptures with the knowledge of Art history, (Full) American history and World history in mind. I will use any material and art movements that best resolves my ideals needed to make my sculptures. I seek engaging dialogue & allegory for conversation on societal, political and ecological issues while using, "Blackness as a color and race as a focus in my main imagery."
